SRG Announces New Promotions

At SRG we are committed to recognizing and honoring the unique talents and everyday heroics of our staff. As such, we are excited to announce the promotion of seven individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication and innovation in not only their project work, but also within the industry and the greater community. Please join us in congratulating the following SRG team members:

Laurel Danielson, IIDA, NCIDQ, LEED AP BD+C, has been promoted to Senior Associate. With nearly 30 years of experience, Laurel is a respected designer who has led all phases of interior design projects, as well as many phases of architectural projects. She is recognized for her programming abilities, project organization skills, and sustainable design expertise, influencing all project considerations from space planning to furniture selection. Key projects include the Multnomah County Central Courthouse, the OHSU Knight Cancer Research Building, and numerous libraries, laboratories, and academic buildings. Laurel joined SRG’s Portland office in 1989 and holds a Bachelor of Interior Architecture from the University of Oregon.

Bethany Gelbrich, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, has been promoted to Senior Associate. Having joined SRG in Portland in 2014, Bethany has 18 years of architecture experience which includes the University of Oregon Jane Sanders Stadium, Washington State University Bohler Gym Programming, and a range of other sports and higher education projects. As a communicative leader passionate about leveraging project teams, Bethany brings a valuable balance of thoughtful design and technical acumen to all her work. She is a graduate of Ball State University with a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Environmental Design.

Trevor Lavoie, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, has been promoted to Senior Associate. A graduate of Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Architecture, Trevor joined SRG’s Portland office in 2009. He has 18 years of experience which has included numerous award-winning higher education science and research facilities such as the UC Davis Equine Performance Center, the Washington State University-Pullman Veterinary Biomedical Research Building, and the UC Riverside School of Medicine Research Building. Trevor is adept at translating client ideas into technical design solutions and is particularly valued for his eye for detail during construction administration and documentation.

Leslie Boll, SRG’s Brand Designer, has been promoted to Associate. Leslie joined SRG’s Marketing team in Portland in 2016, and with more than 15 years of experience has played a key role in managing and elevating the graphic design and branding of SRG’s print, web, and collateral materials, as well as art direction of photography. Respected for her clean and modern sense of design, she has raised the design bar through her environmental graphics expertise on projects such as the Salt Lake City Community College Westpointe Career & Technical Education Center. Leslie is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay with a Bachelor of Arts in Art and Communications and the Arts.

Mike Canales, AIA, has been promoted to Associate. Having joined SRG’s Seattle office in 2018, Mike has five years of professional experience with expertise in construction documents and administration. His project work at SRG to date includes the Alaska Airlines Lounge at Sea-Tac Airport, the Museum of Flight Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park, and the University of Washington-Bothell Cascadia Garage. Mike graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Master of Architecture, and from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Minor in Urban Studies.

Kristopher Chan, AIA, has been promoted to Associate. Kris joined SRG in Seattle in 2018 and has six years of experience working across all phases of architectural design projects. He is known for his technical expertise, strong work ethic and involvement in the Seattle architecture community. Kristopher holds a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Washington and is currently working on Hayward Field at the University of Oregon and the EvergreenHealth Aging Infrastructure and Seismic Improvement Project in Kirkland, WA.

Jordan Iseler, Assoc. AIA, SRG’s Marketing Manager in Portland, has been promoted to Associate. Jordan joined SRG’s Marketing team in Portland in 2017 and is respected for her ability to manage the project pursuit process and a broad range of mission-critical marketing and business development initiatives. Her expertise in marketing and architecture, as well as her ability to address both technical and design needs, make her a valued member within SRG leadership to strategize firm initiatives and pursuits. Jordan is a graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and a Minor in Business Management.
