Lisa Petterson Named 2018 Women of Vision Honoree

August 17, 2018

SRG's Lisa Petterson, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, NCQLP LC, NCARB has been honored by the DJC Oregon as one of Oregon and SW Washington's 2018 Women of Vision. Lisa has an impressive career focused on the development of green building projects, with a special emphasis on lighting and daylight. Lisa has a dual role at SRG, as a project manager with a focus on projects with deep green goals and as a daylighting/sustainable design specialist.

Lisa continues to push SRG forward through her drive to be at the forefront of innovative sustainable design materials and strategies. Her influence of our Portland office design, especially in the area of biophilia, resulted in a healthy and light-filled space for the firm to enjoy every day. SRG proudly nominated Lisa for her leadership, mentorship, and impact within the firm, in projects, and in the community.

An excerpt from her nomination:
"As an architect, Lisa advances the practice of cutting-edge sustainable design while working toward the mainstream adoption of those advancements. In particular, her work to improve building performance by leveraging daylight to offset the use of electrical lighting is recognized nationally. She incorporates the results of her own post-occupancy research of buildings to further develop sustainable design decision-making practices and design tools in architecture. The information she culls sharpens and refines the decisions employed by design teams making architecture—every day. This continual honing of innovation, and importantly her sharing of the strategies behind that innovation within the design community, are critical to sustainable advancements, unbounded by firm or region. Lisa actively works to move the sustainable design front forward, and that is accomplished by not only creating, but sharing. She is adept at both.”

Please join us in congratulating Lisa!
