Laurie Canup Named 2017 Women of Vision Honoree

October 10, 2017

SRG’s Laurie Canup, AIA, has been honored by the DJC Oregon as one of Oregon and SW Washington’s 2017 Women of Vision. With an architectural career of more than 25 years, Laurie has an impressive portfolio in complex higher education, institutional, research and science facilities and is passionate about seeing women pursue design leadership opportunities. SRG proudly nominated Laurie for her role as an esteemed leader, a champion of mentorship, and a trailblazer in Integrated Project Delivery.

An excerpt from her nomination:

“Laurie has had the distinct opportunity to serve OHSU as the core team leader for the Knight Cancer Research Building (KCRB) using Integrated Project Delivery (IPD). A delivery method that is revolutionizing the industry as well as SRG’s practice, IPD binds the owner, contractor and architect together in a single collaborative team.

She has the vision to facilitate a new kind of process - one grounded in ideas, innovation, creativity and solutions that is less hierarchical, and where all have a voice. Because of her belief in IPD and its positive effects on the owner, building occupants and wider design team, the impact of Laurie’s leadership within her firm and in the larger built environment will extend far into the future.”

Read why we believe IPD is the future of the industry.

Please join us in congratulating Laurie!
